    After successful installation of SAP you can find a icon like below for sap gui launch.

     

     

    Just double click on that and it will open a new window.

     

     In this logon screen you can now add the system details.

     

    This is something like a one stop point for all the sap application screens. You have to configure the system and then you can login to SAP world to start your work. This is a test system, I have configured NSP system as per data available in SDN portal. You can create a new entry by clicking the NEW ITEM button.

     

    Now I will click on the CHANGE ITEM button to show other details you have to provide.

     

     

    Like the above screen details, you have to provide these details while creating a new system in this

    1. Click the 'New' button and enter the following details :
      • Description: Give a meaningful short text for identifying the Server. The Server will be available in the SAP Logon pad with this name.
      • Application Server: Give the IP/Address of the Application Server, provided by the basis administrator.
      • SAP Router String: Give the SAP Router String, if provided by the basis administrator. Sometimes it may remain blank also.
      • SAP System: Select SAP system as R3 or R2.
      • System number: Give the system number provided by the basis administrator. It should be kept as 00, if nothing is specified.
    2. Click 'OK'.
    3. The newly created SAP application server will now be available in the SAP logon pad.
